bible“And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb’s wife.” Revelation 21:9whobrideheader

bible“Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: forthe marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.”Revelation 19:7

The scriptures in Revelations speak about the Marriage of the Lamb, which is Jesus Christ, Our Lord and His Wife who has made herself ready. The Bible is a Book of Marriage because It tells us of Adam and his bride, Eve; Jehovah and Israel; Christ and His Bride, the Church. For us to find the identity of the Bride of Jesus Christ, the second Adam, we have to go back to the First Adam.

firstcoup

bible“The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.” I Corinthians 15:45

God’s thoughts and plan are all expressed throughout the Bible which tells of the position of man, the fall of man, the restoration and redemption of man. Genesis is the Book of Seeds, the Book of the beginnings and the origin of all things. What happened in the beginning in Genesis holds the answer of how the Bride of Christ, the second Adam will be connected to Him and be identified. The first woman was made for Adam.

bible“For the man is not of the woman; but the woman of the man.

Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man.” I Corinthians 11:8 – 9

She was not made from outside material, that is, another piece of clay or dust but from the existing material, the selfsame material as Adam’s body. God took from man to make the woman. Adam identified her and said, bible“You are now bone of my bone and flesh of my flesh.” Therefore her identity was in Adam; she was one with Adam.

In Genesis there was a separation; God separating Eve from Adam and there was a bringing of them back together. God removed a part of Adam; formed a woman, and then brought her and introduced her back to Adam. She was Adam in female form.

bible“This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created man, in the likeness of God made he him;

Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created.” Genesis 5:1-2

Adam had dominion and authority over the earth as a son of God, yet he was lonely. God then reveals His thoughts:

bible“And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a help meet for him.” Genesis 2:18

The woman was not lonely; the man was lonely or alone. She was made for him. God does not take another piece of clay or dust to make His first son, Adam a bride. He takes from Adam. He puts him under anesthetic, a deep sleep and He takes a part of Adam to build for him a bride. Everything that Eve had came from Adam. She was an “extension” of him. Her blood was from Adam, her flesh from Adam, and her spirit was from Adam. God was the first surgeon performing the operation to provide his son Adam, a bride.

bible“And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof.” Genesis 2: 21

This shows us that the Bride was a part of the bridegroom and that her identification was in him. After removing a part of Adam’s bone then closing up the flesh, God then takes the role of a marriage officer, introducing the woman to Adam to see what he would call her; introducing Adam back to him in Bride form. The form was different but she was still Adam.

bible“And Adam said, this is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.” Genesis 2:23

He gives the reason why he is calling her woman because she was taken out of man. And the bride of Jesus Christ will be of him and be called by His name because she will be part of Him and keep His Word. Jesus Christ is the Word. She becomes Mrs. Jesus. So for her to become the Bride, she has to keep His Word.

The woman did not choose the man. God brought her to Adam. By this, we understand that Christ takes a Bride, chosen by His own choosing.

bible“You have not chosen me, I have chosen you.” John 15:16

The Patriarch Abraham sends Eliezer his trusted servant to go and find a bride for his son Isaac. He had to make a long journey. He had to wait at the well. He prayed a certain way and the young woman Rebekah had to respond in a certain way – that would clearly show her to be God’s chosen for Isaac’s Bride. So what was on Eliezer’s mind came on the mind of Rebekah and she acted appropriately.

eliazerbible“And he said, O LORD God of my master Abraham, I pray thee, send me good speed this day, and shew kindness unto my master Abraham.”

“Behold, I stand here by the well of water; and the daughters of the men of the city come out to draw water:”

“And let it come to pass, that the damsel to whom I shall say, Let down thy pitcher, I pray thee, that I may drink; and she shall say, Drink, and I will give thy camels drink also: let the same be she that thou hast appointed for thy servant Isaac; and thereby shall I know that thou hast shewed kindness unto my master.”

“And it came to pass, before he had done speaking, that, behold, Rebekah came out, who was born to Bethuel, son of Milcah, the wife of Nahor, Abraham’s brother, with her pitcher upon her shoulder.”

“And the damsel was very fair to look upon, a virgin, neither had any man known her: and she went down to the well, and filled her pitcher, and came up.”

“And the servant ran to meet her, and said, Let me, I pray thee, drink a little water of thy pitcher.”

“And she said, Drink, my lord: and she hasted, and let down her pitcher upon her hand, and gave him drink.”

“And when she had done giving him drink, she said, I will draw water for thy camels also, until they have done drinking.” Genesis 24:12 – 19

Here a bride was appointed by God to be Isaac’s wife, but she had to act in such a way which showed her suitability – that she was the chosen one.

As Eliezer spoke to her about Isaac, she believed every word he told her. She was willing to go. She left home following a man to a place she has never been before; to marry a man she’d never seen. On the way Eliezer told her about Isaac, as she wanted to know what he was like. The Bride wants to be like Him. She was told of the home that he had waiting for her and of the desires and needs of her bridegroom. When she finally saw Isaac, she covered herself with a veil, showing her to be in obedience to her bridegroom.

The Bride of Jesus Christ therefore will be in obedience to the Word. She is made up of individuals, saints from all nations, not from a certain organization, but a people from all walks of life, and called by the Voice of the Son of Man, Jesus Christ.

Jesus said:

bible“My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.” John 10:27

bible“Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in me.” John 15:4

bible“If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.” John 15:7

bible“If ye love me, keep my commandments.” John 14:15

bible“But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.” Matthew 15:9

bible“Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.” John 5:39

bible“The words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.” John 6:63

As He is The Word, so The Bride of Jesus Christ from all over the world will be abiding in His Word. Her worship would be according to His commandments, which is His Word. They hear His Voice, His Word and obey him in all things. She is connected to Him by His Word. And His Words are Spirit and they are Life. God took a rib from Adam and built a Bride and presented her faultless to Adam. God does the presenting; God was the marriage officer and joined the woman to Adam. Apostle Paul speaks about a presentation; of him acting like a marriage officer that should present to Christ a spotless virgin Bride.

bible“For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.” II Corinthians 11:2

In Ephesians Apostle Paul also says:

bible“Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;

That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,

That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.

For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:

For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.

For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.

This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.” Ephesians 5:25-32

Therefore the Bride of Christ will be a many-membered body of people from all walks of life, a Glorious church, that would be holy and without blemish like He is.

Adam was created male and female in the image of God.

bible“So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.” Genesis 1:27

None of the animals were made in the image of God or in His likeness. Only man was created male and female in the image of God.

bible“And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.” Genesis 2:7

The first original human was created and then formed by God.  He was a beautiful young man, a non-perishable soul. He was neither a baby nor an old man but a young a man, and God was his Parent.  A son looks like his parent. His very being is in his father’s likeness. He acts and speaks like his father.  Adam could walk on the waters; he could say “Tree be uprooted here and be planted over there”. It was natural for Adam to do that. Faith was natural to Adam. He could speak the Word.

bible“Man is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man.” I Corinthians 11:7

Here, we see that Man was in God’s image and likeness of God and therefore he would do and speak like God. The woman, who is the glory of the man, was supposed to reflect him or do as he did. When the woman listened to the serpent, sinned and disobeyed God, Adam could not deny her or disown her and put her away. He quickly rescued her as she was a part of him because he loved her.

The second Adam brought redemption to his chosen bride. She has to take Him at His Word. She is attracted to His Word and she attracts His attention by listening and holding onto His Word. His commandments are her delight.

Adam, the first original human therefore held the key of all humans.  In himself, he was a miniature world, the seed of all Humanity was in him. The New Testament opens up with the Second Adam, Christ Jesus and His Bride sealed in Him as Eve was sealed in Adam. It was the breaking of that Sealed (closed up) body of Adam, out of whom came the first Bride that revealed or showed who she was.  And as Adam’s side was opened up, Christ’s side was opened up to produce a New Testament Bride.

Let’s identify Adam’s bride:

  1. She was a part of Adam and came from him.
  2. She was introduced back to Adam in another form, but she was still Adam.
  3. Adam revealed her identity – all that she was, was found in Adam. She was Adam in bride form.
  4. Even when she sinned, Adam could not deny her which means he could not disown her – she was a part of him; by denying her, Adam would have denied himself.

So to identify the Bride of Jesus Christ:

  1. She has to be a part of Him and she must originate from Him.
  2. She will be presented to Him spotless; as He is, so she shall be holy in His image.
  3. Christ reveals her identity. He is the Word, and she became Him by being born of Him the Word, and so lives by His every Word.
  4. He cannot deny His Bride, because the two is one in Spirit and Word.

So the Law of what was in Genesis is in Revelations; what had its roots in Genesis, where it all began is shown in Revelations, the Harvest book. We see Adam, Eve and Eden in Genesis. In Revelations there is Christ, The Bride and The New Kingdom. Once you know the “Alpha and Omega Principle” in the Word of God, it is a key that could unlock the entire Bible to you.

In Genesis Eliezer gets a bride in the evening time. In Revelations, there is a Bride who has made Herself ready.

bible“For as a young man marrieth a virgin, so shall thy sons marry thee: and as the bridegroom rejoiceth over the bride, so shall thy God rejoice over thee.” Isaiah 62:5

The bridegroom rejoices over His Bride in a marriage union. Adam was in ecstasy over his bride. So God will rejoice over His Bride who will endorse His every Word with a life lived for Him. She accepts His Word, lives an undefiled life worthy of the Gospel and becomes in His likeness and holiness. She, Christ’s Bride, keeps Her garments spotless, to be presented to Him as a glorious Church without spot or wrinkle.
