Part 6 - The Two Seeds Now

Who Are The Seed Of The Serpent And Who Are The Children Of God?

Jesus told a parable of two seed sowers in Matthew 13:37-42. "He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man; The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one; The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels. As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world. The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth."

Jesus plainly tells us that the world was sown with two seeds: the children of the kingdom and the children of the wicked one.

Here Jesus plainly tells us that the world was sown with two seeds: the children of the kingdom and the children of the wicked one. One seed was sown by Christ, the Son of Man, who was the Tree of Life and the other was sown by the devil. The children of the devil will be cast into a furnace of fire. However, there will not be one of God’s children in hell.

What is the difference between these two seeds? In the Book of Revelation, chapters 1-3, there are seven churches representing seven ages in which God would deal with the church. Every church age ends with the same admonition. "He that hath an ear, let him (an individual) hear what the Spirit saith to the churches."The Spirit gives the Word. He has the truth for each age. Each age has had its own elect, and that elect group always 'heard the word,' and received it, proving they had the Seed in them. John 8:47 states, "And he that is of God heareth God's Words. Ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God."

In summary this Biblical truth fully explains why the Redeemer, our Lord Jesus, had to be born of the Virgin birth apart from sex. It also explains why all men born of sex must have a new birth. John 3:3 states, "Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."
